Police say they now believe a body found on a Leicester allotment is a woman who'd been missing since Christmas Eve.

Sameena Imam disappeared after working in Coventry.

Officers discovered a body on Friday near Groby Road and formal identification will take place on Wednesday.

A post mortem carried out on Saturday was inconclusive and toxicology tests are expected to take several weeks.

Police have told Capital Sameena's family have been "kept fully informed of developments and are being supported by trained liaison officers at this sad time."

Two men, charged with her murder, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday 13 January and have been remanded in custody with a provisional trial date set for the end of June.

Roger Cooper, 40, of Tile Hurst Drive, Coventry, and David Cooper, 38, of Hughenden Drive, Leicester, were arrested at their home addresses on 7 January 2015.
