The family of a 4 year old Leicestershire girl mauled to death by their pet bulldog say they still think of her every day and she brought happiness to everyone she met.

The inquest into Lexi Branson's death at her home in Mountsorrell ruled a narrative verdict earlier. The coronor said it was one of the most harrowing cases he'd seen.

Ex-Nottingham Forest Player Looses Sentence Appeal

Former Nottingham Forest striker Marlon King has lost his appeal against his dangerous driving jail sentence.

He was given 18 months behind bars in May after he caused a 3 car pile up on the A46 near Newark last year while eating an ice cream at the wheel of his Porsche.

Leicester murder charge
A 28-year-old man charged with the murder of a 45-year-old in Leicester in 2003 is due in court later.

45-year-old Ivan Barrs suffered serious injuries in Northampton Street in May 11 years ago, he died in hospital in March this year.
