Shooting Star Children's Hospice

For the 2007 Capital Christmas Appeal, thanks to Vodafone and 95.8 Capital FM listeners, Johnny and the gang helped raise enough money to build a new Play Therapy Room at Shooting Star Children’s Hospice in Hampton. We are delighted to announce that the project is now complete!

The 25th March 2009 was a very special day for Help a London Child, the Cosmos Therapy Zone (CTZ) at Shooting Star Children's Hospice was officially opened! Our very own Lisa Snowdon and Margherita Taylor were there to meet the staff, families and to cut the ribbon.  Special thanks to them and to all of you who helped to make this happen, it is a fantastic achievement!

"All of us at The Shooting Star Children's Hospice have thoroughly enjoyed being involved in a first for 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child - a major build project made possible by a fantastic team at Capital, support from Vodafone and so many donations of services, toys and books from London's magnificent listeners. On behalf of the children, young people and the families we support, a huge thank you for everything. The Cosmos Therapy Zone, including the Family Therapies Room (made possible by Capital), will benefit so many for years to come."    Dalton Leong, Chief Executive, Shooting Star Children’s Hospice.

The Cosmos Therapy Zone (CTZ), houses play, music and complementary therapy rooms and is 95.8 square metres in size!

A big thank you to the businesses who got involved too…with bricklayers, carpenters, plumbers, and painters and decorators all offering their services for free.
