gbk and Help a Capital Child have been working together for three years now. Here's the story.

In the summer of 2009 gbk wanted to put a spin on their normal restaurant vouchers and create one that directly benefited a local charity. gbk chose Help a Capital Child as the beneficiary charity because they're both London focused and they wanted to find a local cause that struck a chord with their customers.  

The charitable voucher was launched on 95.8 Capital FM in August 2009 and six weeks later £46,000 had been raised. The brilliant success encouraged gbk to support Help a Capital Child again in January 2010 using the same, successful formula. As hoped, after four weeks 36,000 of you had used your voucher and raised that amount in pounds for the charity.

Clearly they were on to something, so gbk made a commitment and chose Help a Capital Child as their UK Charity Of The Year for 2010-2011. They hoped to raise at least £80,000 during the year through the charity voucher, but went well above that and achieved £120,000!
