This year's sold out event rocked the Roundhouse and was without a doubt, our most spectacular yet!
On 28th November 2013, Help a Capital Child welcomed loyal supporters, celebrities and Capital presenters to the red carpet to raise money to support groundbreaking research to develop better, kinder treatments for children with cancer at this year's Capital Rocks supported by Tresor Paris.
Guests were first treated to a taste of Tiki luxury with a cocktail reception from London celebrity haunt, Mahiki. They were then guided through an exciting evening of fundraising and dazzling entertainment by hosts, JLS' Marvin Humes and Capital London Breakfast show presenters, Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon.
First to take the stage with an energetic performance were chart-topping girl group sensation, Little Mix! The boys from JLS then joined Marvin on stage for one of their final performances ahead of their highly anticipated Goodbye arena tour. BRIT award-winning UK pop sensation, Jessie J then captivated the Roundhouse ensuring guests were on their feet before Capital's Pandora hit the decks to keep the party going well into the night.
To add to the excitement, many of our guests went home with some incredible money-can't-buy prizes from our stunning auctions, Car Raffle, Wheel of Fortune and Dave & Lisa game.
This year, Capital Rocks raised over £500,000 and we couldn't have done it without the help of our amazing live performers, generous prize donors, sponsors, volunteers and our wonderful guests.
To all of those who helped to make this year's Capital Rocks a truly unforgettable night, Thank You. We hope you had a fantastic night!
With the money raised at Capital Rocks we hope to be able to bring innovative new treatments to children with cancer across the UK through the work of the JLS Foundation, which was set up by Marvin and the rest of the band in 2010.
We would like to thank our sponsor, Tresor Paris for supporting this year's event.
