BRIT Awards 2013: Adele's 'Skyfall' Wins Best British Single With Capital FM
The 'Skyfall' singer made light of last year's acceptance speech controversy in a special video message.
Adele's James Bond theme song was named British Single Of The Year with Capital FM tonight at the BRIT Awards 2013.
The 'Set Fire To The Rain' singer's soundtrack single for 'Skyfall' beat fifteen other huge hit singles to win in the prestigious category, which was presented by Jonathan Ross and Olympic diver Tom Daley.
Adele was unable to attend the BRITs 2013 ceremony in person, due to being out in Los Angeles preparing for her performance at the Oscars at the weekend, but sent a special thank you video message instead.
In the message the 'Rolling In The Deep' singer made light of last year's controversy where she was cut off during her acceptance speech for Album Of The Year because of the show overrunning.
"Hello everyone, thank you so much for this BRIT Award, it means a lot," Adele said in the video. "Sorry I can't be with you.
"I won't keep you too long because I don't want to interrupt the Best Album speech at the end of the night!" the UK singer then joked, before confirming that she will be back in the UK very soon.

BRITs 2013 host James Corden then continued the joke by double-checking that Adele had finished, after he was forced to cut her off back in 2012.
The BRIT Awards 2013 has already seen artists including Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons and Lana Del Rey pick up awards over the course of the evening.
