The following rules (“Rules”) together with Global Radio’s ("Global Radio") general and competition terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/ apply to the ‘Take Your Mates’ radio competition ("the Competition") which will run from 8th January 2015 to Monday 2nd February 2015 (“the Duration”). The "Radio Station" is: Capital Birmingham
Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have understood these Rules along with the Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them. The Terms and Conditions are available on request from the Radio Station.
1. 0 Details of the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition an Entrant must:
Identify and text in, when they hear a track by the nominated artist for that week played in full on the Capital Breakfast Show with Rob & Katy. The opening and closing times will be announced on air by the presenter(s)
The artist will be announced by the presenter(s) on-air.
Send a text message with the keyword ‘MATES’ to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). The text system will not recognize other formats of the keyword.
1.2 Text messages will be charged at £1.00 plus your standard network rate.
1.3 Listeners need to text in during the duration of a song by the artist for that day, as announced by the presenter(s) on-air. If listeners text after the end of each song they will not be entered but may still be charged. Global Radio is not responsible for any latency experienced by your mobile phone network, which may delay the delivery of your text message to us.
1.4 After the weekly closing time, one entrant will be selected at random from all entries received. Their entry will be matched to Capital’s music log to confirm that their entry arrived during the duration of a track by that day’s artist. If this matches, the entrant will be confirmed as the winner. If the time of the entry does not match with Capital’s music log, another winner will be selected using the same method.
1.5 The winner will be required to talk to the presenter/s and a call will be recorded with the presenter/s on the Friday morning of contest week and played on-air on the Monday. If entrants fail to answer their phone, are driving, or if any fault occurs immediately prior to or during these calls and it is not possible to re-establish contact with the caller, another contestant will be selected at random. The contestant for the recording will be selected after 9am on the Friday. If we are unable to contact you before 09.30 a different caller will be selected. We will also require at least two of your mates to join you on the call for the pre-recorded contest.
The contest requires the chosen contestant to answer 3 questions correct to guarantee the prize for 4 people. Should they get a question wrong they will lose a place on the trip. At the end of the contest, should the contestant not have scored 3 out of 3, they will be offered the chance to gamble on a final forth question which means they could win all 4 places on the trip back or lose the entire prize.
2.0 Eligibility
2.1 Entrants must be aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Entrants can enter this competition a maximum of 3 times in order to limit
excessive use.
3.0 Prize:
3.1 The maximum prize is a trip for 4 people to a different location each week. . These prizes will be updated each week.

3.2 All travellers must be aged 18 or over
3.3 If applicable, all travellers must hold a current/valid UK passport all visas are the responsibility of the traveller
3.4 Dates of the prize can be flexible but must be taken before the 22nd March and booked within a week of winning. We reserve the right to decline certain date requests such as Bank Holidays or Valentines weekend.
3.5 The prize does not include meals outside of breakfast or transfers in the UK.
3.6 Transfers are not private and may be shared with other passengers.
3.7 Hotel will be classed as a 4 star and based on two people sharing a twin or double room with ensuite facilities on a bed and breakfast basis.
3.8 Travel insurance is subject to normal terms of acceptance. Pre-existing medical conditions may not be covered.
3.9 Prize is non-transferrable and there is no cash alternative.
4.0 Global Radio reserves the right to substitute the prize or any element of the prize at any time
