Man Stabbed In Sheldon Gang Fight

West Midlands Police are investigating a clash between gangs in Birmingham after one man was stabbed.

The 31-year-old's in hospital with a stab wound after it happened on Sunday morning while another man, aged 27, has a broken ankle after a car was driven at him.

Neither of them are thought to have life threatening injuries.

It happened at the junction of Church Road and Cranes Park Road at around 3.30am.

Detectives have now launched an investigation into what happened and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

DS Mark Allen, from Birmingham Police, said: "This was a nasty attack and those injured are fortunate to have not been more seriously hurt.

"Although this happened at around 3.30am we know there were a number of people in the area and would ask anyone who has not yet spoken to us to get in touch as soon as possible."
