- Their name is a reference to the film Pulp Fiction, in which the character Jules (played by Samuel L. Jackson) shouts "Yolanda, be cool!" to a female armed robber named Yolanda (played by Amanda Plummer).
- They received two 2010 ARIA Music Awards nominations which included, Best Dance Release and Most Popular Australian Single for 'We No Speak Americano'.
- The video for the hit single was directed by Andy Hylton.
