Will.i.am On Having His Own Olympic Torch: "It's Going To Go In My House!" - Audio

The Voice UK vocal coach has joked that he might turn the iconic souvenir into an lamp for his home.

Will.i.am has vowed to proudly display his Olympic torch at home after getting to serve as a torch bearer earlier this month.

The Black Eyed Peas frontman promised that the London 2012 souvenir will be in displayed on a wall in his house after completing a stint running the Olympic torch relay through Taunton in Somerset on 21st May. 

Oh it's going to go in my house! On the wall!" Will.i.am revealed exclusively to Capital FM at the Glamour Women Of The Year Awards 2012, before joking: "[I'll] turn it into a lamp!" 

After completing his relay for the London 2012 Olympic Games will.i.am described it as a "once in a life time experience", and thanked everyone who had come out to support him on his run.

The Olympic torch relay runs over the course of 70 days, across 8000 miles, and sees a variety of celebrities carrying the iconic flame across the country. 

The Voice UK vocal coach gave his new single 'This Is Love' its world premiere on Capital FM earlier this month, and unveiled the song's music video last week.

'This Is Love' features Dutch singer-songwriter Eva Simons, with the song's music video filmed in London in front of Tower Bridge, and will.i.am has said it is dedicated to the UK as a thank you for their support over the years. 

The single is set to be released on 24th June and followers 'Great Times' and 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' as the latest track to be lifted from will.i.am's upcoming album '#willpower'.
