The 'Scream & Shout' singer says he was put off doing his own line afte seeing other musicians' efforts.

Will.i.am says he is in no rush to launch his own fashion collection because he feels other pop stars have "tainted" the idea with "rubbish" clothing lines.

The 'This Is Love' rapper says he considered launching his own fashion project but decided to postpone the idea for the time being after seeing several other pop stars' collections and being unimpressed with the results.

"I've tried to do fashion design, but it's hard," will.i.am revealed to the Daily Star this week, while launching his brand new range of smartphone camera accessories.

"So many people from my industry have tried [that] it's kind of tainted now," the 'Great Times' rapper explained. "They've been rubbish, so now everyone expects they all will be."

Earlier this week will.i.am premiered the music video for his Britney Spears collaboration 'Scream & Shout', and recently claimed working with the pop star had "changed" his life.
