The 'Scream & Shout' rapper will work with Britney on her new album after finishing his own solo record.

Will.i.am has promised fans he is "focused" on finishing his new solo album '#willpower' as well as confirming plans to work with Britney Spears on her next record.

The 'This Is Love' rapper delayed '#willpower' from its original 2012 release after a number of songs were stolen and leaked online, however the Black Eyed Peas frontman has assured fans the record now nearly finished.

Will.i.am revealed the news in a conversation with Britney Spears on Twitter yesterday (26th January), where he also admitted he "can't wait" to work with Britney again on her new album.

"@BritneySpears Tonight was the first night I heard #ScreamANDShout in the club… and everyone in the club went #MENTAL… #LondonROCKS," Will.i.am tweeted to the US pop star, to which she replied: "@iamwill You should have hit them with the #ScreamAndShoutRemix after. All eyes on us. See you next week…"

"@BritneySpears I haven't been out in weeks… I've been focused on finishing #willpower… & now I can't wait to work with you… #britneyMUSIC," the rapper added, to which Britney simply tweeted back: "@iamwill Let's go."

will.i.am's message suggests that Britney may be starting work on her eighth studio album in the coming weeks, fresh from her decision to leave her role as a judge on The X Factor USA after just one season.

The pair's most recent collaboration was will.i.am's song 'Scream & Shout', which is currently enjoying its third week at the top of the Vodafone Big Top 40, and they also recorded a song together for Britney's 2011 album 'Femme Fatale'.

Will.i.am recently promised Capital his next single is "mega" and hinted that it will be unveiled sometime in the next week or two.
