The R&B star's full name is Usher Terry Raymond and he was born October 14th 1978 in Dallas, Texas.
The 'Pop Ya Collar' singer made his acting debut on the UPN comedy series Moesha which starred Brandy.
The 'OMG' star has two children, Usher Raymond V, who was born on 26th November 2007, and Naviyd Ely Raymond, who was born on 10th December 2008.
Usher has sold over 20 million records in the US alone and an estimated total of 65 million across the world.
Before he became the superstar we all know and love, the star was part of an R&B group called NuBeginnings back in 1991.
At the age of 13 he competed on the talent tv show Star Search which led to an audition with current The X Factor USA judge L.A. Reid and the singer signed a deal with the music mogul's LaFace Records.

Usher's mum Jonnetta Patton managed his singing career from the start right up until 2007, when they parted ways in terms of business so they could focus more on family life.
