Tulisa On Perrie Edwards And Zayn Malik Romance: "I Was Involved From The Start"

3 September 2012, 13:02

The 'Young' singer admits the 'Wings' star came to her for advice at the start of their relationship.

Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she played an early role in Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards' relationship.

The couple began dating when Perrie's Little Mix were among the contestants on The X Factor and recently met each other's parents.

Tulisa, who mentored Little Mix on the reality show, said she still remembered when the pair first met and that Perrie came to her for advice.

"I was involved in that from the start," she told the Daily Star. "I was the first person that she came to. So I said, right, this is what you need to do – don't text him back, wait!

"But she said: 'He's asked me to come round his house.' And I was like – what time is it? No. No. It's too late."

Last month, Zayn quit Twitter briefly following a series of abusive comments about his private life, but returned less than 48 hours later saying he missed his fans.

One Direction recently announced details of their new album 'Take Me Home', which will feature new single 'Live While We're Young'.
