The X Factor judge has promised "exciting times" while recording material for her first album without her N-Dubz bandmates.

Tulisa Contostavlos has revealed she is back in the studio recording songs for her debut solo album.

The N-Dubz star, who served as a judge on The X Factor last year, posted on Twitter that she was heading into the studio later today (10th January) to continue working on the forthcoming record.

"Aaaarrggg this tummy ache is slowing me down 2day! I'm off to the studio #T'sfirstalbum… #exciting times," Tulisa tweeted.

Earlier today photos emerged of the 'Number One' singer enjoying a romantic holiday with her band mate and boyfriend Fazer in the Maldives.

Tulisa previously suggested she could release her first single as early as February with the album following in May or June this year.

Little Mix are reportedly keen to have both mentor Tulisa and 'Who You Are' singer Jessie J feature on their own debut album.
