Tinie Tempah's Lucozade trailer

Tinie Tempah is set to be the face of Lucozade Sport after signing a £100,000 deal.

The rapper apparently beat Kanye West to the dotted line with the energy drink giant. He's already started filming ads for Lucozade in LA.

Tinie follows in the footsteps of former England footballer John Barnes who promoted Lucozade in the 1990s. "I am too young to remember the John Barnes adverts but I hear he wasn't a bad rapper." he told The Sun.

"I reckon I could kick the bottle in the bin if I was asked."

"It's massive. They've always done such huge adverts," Tinie added.

"And I DO drink Lucozade, more so in the gym. I'm not just saying that, I wouldn't endorse something I didn't like."

Rap star Tinie Tempah, Irish World Champion boxer Katie Taylor and Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker have been brought together for the campaign. Set in a dark underground tunnel Tinie performs a version of his 'Simply Unstoppable' track whilst Barker drums and Taylor boxes. 

You can see a trailer below and the ad itself and airs on TV during the Champions League Quarter-Final between Manchester United and Chelsea on April 12. A behind the scenes documentary will also be available online.
