The 'Pass Out' star has reportedly been recruited for the judge's houses phase of the competition.
Tinie Tempah is rumoured to be making an appearance on the new series of The X Factor as an assistant to Nicole Schezinger in the judge's houses episode of the show.
The 'Pass Out' star is top of the former Pussycat Doll star's list as she has been handed the male category on the latest series of the hit music reality show.
"Nicole has the boys and, while she prides herself on being able to spot male talent, she knows having a bloke at her side will help," a source told The Sun. "Bosses have come up with several options but Tinie is the one she is keen on, so hopefully he will be free."
The publication also reports that the rapper was lined-up to be one of the guest judges for the auditions before Nicole signed up permanently with fellow stars Professor Green, Labrinth and 50 Cent also tipped for a role.
The news comes after the series announced that it will be making a return to the screen on 18th August.

Tinie is currently finishing up work on his second album 'Demonstration' which will be released on October.
The 'Written In The Stars' rapper told Capital earlier this year that the record will feature collaborations with the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris.
