Timbaland And Missy Elliot To Release New Solo Albums This Summer

The 'Shock Value' producer says he and the 'Get Your Freak On' rapper will launch their new records together this summer.

Timbaland has revealed he and Missy Elliot will both release new solo albums this year as part of a new "movement" in music.

The 'Give It To Me' rapper and producer says both he and the 'For My People' rapper are preparing to launch their latest records and will time theto releases so they tie in together.

"Me and Missy are both coming out with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June," Timbaland revealed to Billboard this week.

"Right now, we're just preparing to get both our videos, our first singles shot at the same time," he explained. "We want to do it as a movement."

Timbaland's last solo album was 2009's 'Shock Value II' which featured guest artists like Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado and Katy Perry.

The 'Apologise' producer has worked with 'Get Your Freak On' rapper Missy on almost all of her albums, apart from 2005's 'The Cookbook', and has reunited with her to produce her seventh record 'Block Party' 

Timbaland has also been working with Justin Bieber on his new album 'Believe', which will feature guest performances from the likes of Kanye West and Drake.
