The Wanted: "Whitney Houston Was A True Inspiration"

The 'Lightning' singers have paid tribute to the late 'Heartbreak Hotel' singer, who died yesterday in Los Angeles.

The Wanted have described Whitney Houston as a "true inspiration" following news of the 48 year-old singer's death.

Whitney Houston was pronounced dead yesterday (11th February) in Los Angeles after paramedics were called to her hotel room, since which tributes have been pouring in from across the industry.

"One of the best voices to ever grace the earth, a true inspiration!" The Wanted's Nathan Sykes tweeted this morning (12th February). "Such heartbreaking news. Whitney Houston RIP."

"So sad about Whitney Houston.... Beautiful lady with a beautiful voice... R.I.P," singer Max George also posted today.

Fellow band member Siva Kaneswaran also posted a short tribute message on Twitter simply saying, "#RIPWhitneyHouston."

Since news broke of the 'I Will Always Love You' singer's death late last night stars including Rihanna, Katy Perry, will.i.am and Mariah Carey have all posted messages tribute. 

Police are launching an investigation into the cause of Whitney's death although there were said to be no signs of criminal intent in the singer's hotel room.

Whitney Houston had a musical career spanning almost 30 years which saw her release six studio albums and around 50 singles during her time in the industry.
