The 'Lighting' singers say the 'Shine' boy band have created some really good music in recent years.

The Wanted have named Take That and the Backstreet Boys as two of their favourite boy bands ever.

The 'Glad You Came' singers are currently on tour in the US, and revealed to Z100 that they are big fans of the two long-running male groups.

"Boybands. In the UK Take That have become massive again and created really good music," The Wanted's Tom Parker revealed, in response to a fan query.

"Across this side of the pond, I was a big fan of the Backstreet Boys when I was younger," Tom sad. "'Incomplete' is one of my favourite songs."

The 'Warsone' singers also discussed their recent appearance on The Ellen Show, which saw them make their American television debut on the chat show, hosted by comedian Ellen DeGeneres.

"She's so fun," Jay McGuinness said, regarding the popular TV host.

"She can really dance, and I'm not just saying that. She's got some natural rhythm," Siva Kaneswaran added.

The Wanted are due to continue their US tour tomorrow (2nd February) with a performance in Salt Lake City, Utah.
