The 'Glad You Came' singers are gearing up for the release of their first American album next month.

The Wanted have revealed they are back in the recording studio ahead of returning to America next week later for an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

The 'Lightning' singers have confirmed their first US album will be self-titled and will feature brand new songs as well as tracks from their 2010 UK debut and last year's follow-up 'Battleground'.

"Day one of holiday was spent in the studio. Day two is starting off exactly the same way!" Nathan Sykes tweeted at the start of this week.

"3rd studio day on my 5th 'day off'. I's ok though I'm in with 'the boss' #magicals**tjustabouttogodown… #hard#toread," the 'Warzone' singer added.

Siva Kaneswaran confirmed the band are laying down some new material this week before their US trip next week.

He added: "Week off before we head back to the U.S and I'm in the studio no rest for the wicked ;)."
