The 'Lightning' singers were performing live in New York this week after news of Nathan's hiatus.

The Wanted made their first public appearance and performance without band member Nathan Sykes yesterday (22nd April) in New York City.

The 'I Found You' singers took to the stage for a show at the E! Upronts, after leaving Nathan out in Los Angeles to recover from his recent throat surgery.

"What a wicked night at @EUpfronts :)," Siva Kaneswaran tweeted after the show. "We are missing our boy @NathanTheWanted though!"

"Not the same without you @NathanTheWanted," fellow band star Jay McGuiness also posted.

The 'Glad You Came' star underwent surgery at the end of last week to repair a haemorrhaging vocal cord, and will take an "unforeseen hiatus" from the band to recover from the injury.

The Wanted are set to premiere their US reality series The Wanted Life on E! on 2nd June.
