8 November 2012, 12:47

The 'I Found You' stars confirm they will write the last few songs for the record in January.

The Wanted have revealed they are hoping to have their new third studio album out by March 2013.

The 'Glad You Came' stars have been working on the follow-up to 2011's 'Battleground' over much of 2012 and say they are planning to write a number of new tracks to finish off the record early next year.

"We're about eight tracks. I mean, we've done so many tracks," band member Tom Parker revealed to Glamour magazine this month. "Because we all love writing as well, whether it's for us or for any other people.

"So we're written about 30 tracks. We've got eight that we're really happy with, and the others will get shipped off to other places and stuff," the 'Lightning' singer explained. "we're got another writing session in January."

Tom added: "And then we're looking to have the album out in March 2013.

The Wanted have so far released two singles this year that are expected to feature on the new record, with 'Chasing The Sun' hitting the charts over the summer and 'I Found You' launching last weekend and heading for a high chart position on the Vodafone Big Top 40 this Sunday (11th November).

The 'Warzone' five-piece recently teased fans by promising they have some "really high hitters" recorded for the new record, as well as suggesting recent collaborations with the likes or Rita Ora and LMFAO could all potentially make the final tracklisting.
