The 'All Time Low' stars tell Capital FM it is an honour to perform on the US music reality show.

The Wanted have revealed that they can't wait to perform on American Idol this evening (5th April) and are "excited" to meet Jennifer Lopez.

The 'Warzone' stars described the judge as an "international superstar" and said it will be an "honour" to take to the stage.

Singer Tom Parker told Capital FM: "We're performing on American Idol tonight and we literally can't wait."

Band mate Nathan Sykes added: "It's absolutely huge and it's an honour to be doing it and I'm very very excited to meet J-Lo."

"She's a massive artist and I'm just really excited to meet an international superstar – it's all a bit surreal," added Tom.

The appearance is the latest in a long run of high profile US TV performances including The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and the Ellen DeGeneres show.

Meanwhile, the band have also revealed to Capital that they are set to team up with R&B superstar Chris Brown after hanging out together in Los Angeles.
