The Wanted gave an impromptu performance of the song 'Afternoon Delight' as they picked up the prize for Favourite Breakthrough Artist at the People's Choice Awards 2013 last night.
The 'Gold Forever' singers were overwhelmed as they accepted the prize and thanked their dedicated fan base and US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres.
"This never happens to us," declared Max George. "We've never won anything before. So obviously we'd like to thank the fans. To win this just shows that our fans are real troopers, so thanks so much."
Bandmate Nathan Sykes then took to the microphone stand to recall a conversation he had over Christmas with his mum.
"She was saying, 'What do you want to do this year? and I said, 'I want to win a massive award'. So this is unbelievable," he confessed. "Fans, you guys did it, you guys are wicked."
