Taylor Swift, Fun. And Maroon 5 Dominate Billboard Music Awards 2013 Nominations

The shortlist for this year's industry event has been announced with One Direction and Rihanna also nominated.

Taylor Swift leads the charge at this year's Billboard Music Awards after picking up 11 nominations including the coveted Top Artist prize.

The 'Love Story' singer is also joined on 11 nominations by US group's Fun. and Maroon 5.

British stars such as One Direction will also be hoping to win big after picking up a total of 10 nods alongside the likes of Rihanna.

The 'Live While We're Young' stars will also have two chances to win the Top Pop Album award with both records, 'Up All Night' and 'Take Me Home' nominated.

Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, One Direction, Rihanna and Taylor Swift will all fight it out for the Top Artist award.

PSY, Bruno Mars, Flo Rida, Carly Rae Jepsen and Nicki Minaj are also among the nominees. 

Last year's event saw Adele crowned the big winner of the event – picking up 12 trophies.
