Olympics Closing Ceremony: The Spice Girls Reunite To Celebrate London 2012

The iconic girl band performed their hits 'Wannabe' and 'Spice Up Your Life' to end the Olympic Games.

The Spice Girls reunited for the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony tonight (12th August) in the UK capital to wow the millions around the world watching the highly anticipated event.

The iconic nineties girl band arrived into the Olympic Stadium in brightly lit taxi cabs to huge applause from the thousands strong audience, before joining each other in the centre of the stage to sing their debut hit single 'Wannabe'.

Geri Halliwell wore a short red dress while Mel B echoed her girl band days with a glittered gold catsuit and Mel C opted for a stark white trouser suit.

Emma Bunton turned out in a short pink minidress while fashion designer Victoria Beckham stunned in a black dress featuring a long black trail.

After leading the eager crowd through their popular original hit the five girls then urged the audience to remember Girl Power and stood atop their taxi cabs to perform their single 'Spice Up Your Life'.

The Spice Girls then closed out there set as Liam Gallagher emerged onto the stage backed by his band Beady Eye to perform Oasis' britpop anthem 'Wonderwall', which many of the London 2012 athletes were seen singing along to as they watched tonight's closing ceremony showcase.

The show has already seen One Direction, Jessie J, Tinie Tempah, Taio Cruz, George Michael and the Kaiser Chiefs perform to mark the end of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The ceremony will climax with the extinguishing of the Olympic flame as the mantle is handed over to Rio De Janeiro in Brazil ready for the Games there in 2016.
