29 February 2012, 15:32

The 'Hips Don't Lie' singer is currently working on her eighth studio album.

Shakira has sparked speculation she will collaborate with LMFAO and Akon on her new album after posting a picture of them all in a recording studio together with regular Lady Gaga producer Red One.

The 'She Wolf' singer is currently working on her eighth studio album, the follow-up to 2010's 'Sale el Sol', and uploaded the snapshot of herself with 'Sexy And I Know It' rapper Red Foo and 'Beautiful' singer Akon earlier today (29th February).

"Hanging out with Red Foo (LMFAO), Akon and Red One in my studio in Barcelona!" Shakira tweeted this afternoon. "It didn't take us long before we started dancing!"

It was recently claimed by The Neptunes singer and producer Pharrell Williams that Britney Spears was planning to work with Shakira on a brand new collaboration together.
