Rizzle Kicks: "Damon Albarn Is Our Ultimate Idol"

The 'Mama Do The Hump' duo believe the Blur front man is a "genius" and are hoping to bump into him at the BRITs 2012.

Rizzle Kicks have confessed that they are big fans of Blur and Gorillaz man Damon Albarn.

The 'Down With The Trumpets' singers have called the star their "ultimate Idol" and are hoping to confront him at the BRIT Awards 2012 later this month.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Jordan said: "He's a genius. He's our ultimate idol. We worked with his cousin on our album so I will be using him to corner Damon at the BRITs, strap him to a chair and force him to make musical sounds for us."

The band will be heading to the ceremony at London's O2 arena to perform with Olly Murs on the BRIT nominated track 'Heart Skips A Beat', and Jordan added that the pair are ecstatic to be involved in the event this year.

"We are over the moon to be involved in something that did so well, but it would be better to be nominated for our own record."

Meanwhile, Rizzle Kicks recently revealed that they had been working in the studio with Jamie Cullum and asked for their fans' help to shoot a new music video in London.
