Rihanna has admitted her style has played a huge part in her success.
The singer, who is currently sporting a flame haired look, claims that her short crop for her 'Good Girl Gone Bad' campaign in 2007 changed her life.
'When I cut my hair, the whole sound changed, my style changed," she told Vogue.
During that period she scored a huge Number One hit with 'Umbrella' and her new image shot her to superstardom.
Rih puts her success down to the fact she is willing to take risks.
'Fashion has become more about taking a risk. When I am putting my looks together, I dare myself to make something work,' she added.
The singer is set to appear on the cover of Vogue's April issue.
