Rihanna's chart-topping weekend

Rihanna's got plenty to celebrate after a hectic weekend.

The 22 year old's performed on both sides of the Atlantic and enjoyed chart-topping success with her new single Only Girl (in the World).

The weekend kicked off with Rihanna as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live in the States

Rihanna gave the first televised performance of new singles "What's My Name" and "Only Girl (In The World)" before jumping on a plane to London to perform on The X-Factor.

Just an hour before sharing the stage with Jamiroquai and Bon Jovi, Ri-Ri's 'Only Girl (In The World)' went to No 1 in The Big Top 40 chart knocking off Cheryl Cole's 'Promise This'.

The chart also saw a Top 10 position for Shakespear Sister's 'Stay' which was performed by Cher on The X-Factor 24 hours earlier.

Rihanna is set for a busy few weeks as she promotes her new album Loud which is out on November 16th.
