The 'Talk That Talk' singer debuts new dark style during visit to Japan.

Rihanna has unveiled a new hairstyle – ditching her recent blonde locks for black.

The 'Talk That Talk' star debuted her new hair on Twitter during a promotional trip to Japan.

After tweeting the picture, Rihanna re-tweeted another fan, adding: "I was missin she, but I aint ready to chop."

Rihanna is currently in the Far East promoting her forthcoming movie Battleship, which marks her first step into the acting world.

"I got to play a really cool character," Rihanna told Access Hollywood recently about the film, which also stars Liam Neeson. "She's one of the guys, which is kind of a little close to my real lifestyle.

During a visit to London last week, the singer assured fans that she still planned to pursue her music career over the coming twelve months.

Speaking to Capital FM, the singer said she was set to launch a new world tour in 2013 and vowed to make it bigger and "more impactful" than anything she has done before.

"Tour. We're going to be going on tour next year," she said.

"So this year we're spending out time planning to make sure it's bigger than anything we've done and something more impactful, maybe something different, so my fans can get excited about it."

Battleship goes on general release at UK cinemas on 11th April.
