Rihanna Left In Tears While Paying Tribute To Her Late Grandma Dolly On Her Birthday

The 'Diamonds' star shared a heartfelt message online as well as sharing numerous private family pictures with fans.

Rihanna has posted an emotional tribute to her late grandma Dolly on Twitter this weekend to mark what would have been her birthday.

The 'Where Have You Been' singer, who was very close with her grandma before her death from cancer in July 2012, posted several pictures of Dolly on Twitter while paying tribute to their relationship.

"Happy Birthday Gran Gran!!! Today is not the same without you here," Rihanna tweeted, admitting that she had been left in tears today (17th March). "Our last birthday together #PiscesLife #GranGranDolly #BirthdayGirl #IHateCrying.

"It's all about you sunshine and all because of you! #happybirthdaydolly," the 'Stay' singer added. "I miss you soooo much right now."

After Dolly's death in summer last year the Bajan pop star had a new tattoo design of Egyptian goddess Isis done across her upper abdomen in tribute.

Rihanna resumed her 'Diamonds' world tour this past week after being forced to cancel two shows due to illness, and the star is set to bring the tour over to the UK this June.
