The 'Where Have You Been' singer takes inspiration from the UK capital for her first ever clothing collection.
Rihanna has designed a new clothing range for River Island, it's been announced.
The exclusive capsule collection will launch in Spring 2013 and marks the first time the 'Talk That Talk' singer has stepped into the fashion world.
"I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time," Rihanna said.
"River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes.
"I'm looking forward to working with them and creating something really special."
Rihanna was among a host of huge celebrities who attended London fashion week this year:
Ben Lewis, River Island Chief Executive, said: "We are thrilled to be collaborating with Rihanna and to be the first fashion brand to work with her in this way. Rihanna is a style icon, from street to chic she enjoys her fashion.
"As soon as we started to work together we knew this was a perfect fit. Rihanna will be designing the collection and we will be sharing our fashion experience with her to develop a range her fans will love."
Founded and based in London, River Island now has 300 stores in the UK and throughout Europe.
RiRi will join a long-list of celebrities who have designed their own fashion collections, including Pixie Lott, Kanye West, Tinie Tempah and Cheryl Cole, who has her own shoe range.
