Rihanna Shows Off Newly Dyed Black Hair During Battleship Promotional Appearance

The 'You Da One' singer has dyed her hair black after several months enjoying life as a blonde.

Rihanna showed off her newly dyed black hair this week during a promotional event for her feature film debut in sci-fi epic Battleship.

The 'We Found Love' singer gave fans a sneak peak of her new look yesterday (2nd April) and has now been pictured sporting the radical new style at a photocall in Tokyo, Japan.

Rihanna has been sporting long blonde hair for the past few months, but recently admitted she prefers her hair darker and has been planning to dye it for some time.

The 'You Da One' star confirmed to CapitalFM.com last week she is planning to launch a new world tour in 2013 after focusing much of this year on launching her movie career.

Rihanna makes her film debut in Peter Berg's Battleship later this month, which stars the Bajan singer as a "bad ass" Navy weapons officer called Raikes.

Earlier today during a press conference for the film Rihanna confirmed she would love to portray the late Whitney Houston in a biopic about her life.

Battleship is due to launch in cinemas in the UK in 11th April with a US release expected to follow on 18th May.
