The 'Get Lucky' singer's new song gets a matching lyric video ahead of the animated film's release.

Pharrell Williams has unveiled the official song lyric video for his new song 'Happy'.

The song features on the soundtrack of upcoming animated sequel Despicable Me 2, which sees Steve Carell reprising his role as a super villain burdened with several adopted children.

Pharrell first unveiled 'Happy' back in May this year, after co-producing the entirety of the Universal Pictures film's soundtrack.

The N.E.R.D. star is the latest of several big name stars to lend their vocals to an animated film soundtrack, after Beyonce's 'Rise Up' for Epic 3D and Britney Spears's new song 'Ooh La La' for The Smurfs 2.

Pharrell Williams has also recently features on Daft Punks huge worldwide number one 'Get Lucky', as well as Robin Thicke's current Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'Blurred Lines'.
