The 'Little Things' singer says his bandmates teased him about his fear of flying in their early days.
One Direction star Zayn Malik has confessed he was "terrified" of flying when he first joined the band back in 2010.
The 'Live While We're Young' singer says his bandmates often teased him during their early days as One Direction, particularly boy band star Louis Tomlinson who told him that planes sometimes perform a "loop de loop" during take-off.
"I was terrified of flying when we started," Zayn revealed to the Daily Star this week. "Before the band I'd never been on a plane which was sad and depressing.
"One time we got up into the air and Louis [Tomlinson] turned to me and said, 'This is where the plane does the loop de loop,'" Zayn recalled. "I believed it, it was really scary."
He added: "I was so gullible, I nearly cried."

One Direction are set to perform on the first day (8th December) of the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball 2012 this coming weekend.
