Band member Louis Tomlinson has issued a thanks after the band scored the milestone earlier this month.
One Direction's Louis Tomlinson has thanked the band's fans after the music video for their debut single reach over 50 million views on YouTube.
The 'Gotta Be You' singer admitted yesterday had felt like "a good day" (8th February), after the band were informed their official 'What Makes You Beautiful' music video currently has 50,493,395 views on the streaming website.
"Today is a good day," Louis tweeted last night. "Just found out What Makes You Beautiful has over 50,000,000 views on youtube."
Louis added: "Massive thank you to everyone."
The 'One Thing' singers are up for Best British Single at the BRIT Awards 2012 later this month, and band member Liam Payne recently admitted he was getting nervous about the prospect.
One Direction are then due to return to America ready to support US boy band Big Time Rush on their North American tour.
