'What Makes You Beautiful' has broken a record for the highest number of pre-orders.

One Direction's debut single has broken Sony's record for the highest numbers of pre-orders, despite the record label owning names like Beyonce and Michael Jackson.

Syco boss Sonny Takhar who revealed the news also said the One Direction album is one of the best pop records made by the company, according to The Sun.

The music video for the single is due to premiere online this afternoon, but check out the teasers here for the 'What Makes You Beautiful' video.

The single is due for official release on Sunday 11th September.
