The 'One Thing' stars are expected to have the third best sales week of the year in America this week.

One Direction are on course to score their second number one album in America next week after huge sales of their newly release album 'Take Me Home'.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' five-piece released their second studio record at the start of this week around the world, and are predicted to sell over half a million copies by the end of the weekend.

According to Billboard, industry sources are predicting 'Take Me Home' will easily take the number one spot on the US Billboard Top 200 chart next Wednesday, while they could reach first week sales of up to 600,000.

The 'Live While We're Young' stars are expected to accumulate the third largest sales week of 2012 so far, just behind Mumford & Sons sales for 'Babel' but comfortably behind Taylor Swift's mammoth sales of new album 'Red'.

One Direction are currently out in New York City promoting the record, having performed live on the The Today Show, and the band were pictured out meetings fans in the Big Apple earlier this week.
