One Direction's new song 'Live While We're Young' has gone straight in at number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 on the day it was released (30th September).
The band's new single is the first to be taken from their forthcoming second album 'Take Me Home', which is due to be released in November.
Earlier, Harry Styles thanked fans who had supported the band's new track.
Last week's number one – PSY's 'Gangnam Style' – dropped to number two, while Rihanna's new song 'Diamonds' was a new entry at number three.
