One Direction Says Justin Bieber "Smashed It" On His 'Believe' Tour Show In New York

The 'One Thing' stars also got to meet '99 Problems' rapper Jay-Z at the event.

One Direction made the most of their time in the US this week by watching Justin Bieber perform live on his 'Believe' world tour and getting to meet one of their idols, rapper Jay-Z.

The 'Live While We're Young' five-piece flew out to New York over the weekend where they watching the 'Boyfriend' star's show and tweeted him after to say how much they had enjoyed it.

"@justinbieber bro amazing show thanks for a wicked night see you soon," Liam Payne posted to the Canadian po star, while Niall Horan wrote: "Went to watch my boy @justinbieber tonight! Smashed it! Great job dude! See ya soon.

"@NiallOfficial @Real_Liam_Payne good seeing you fells. talk soon. thanks for coming thru," Justin later replied, while he also retweeted both of the One Direction star's messages.

Band member Liam Payne also got to fulfil one of his dreams when Justin Bieber's manager Scooter Braun introduced him to rapper Jay-Z, who was also in attendance backstage at the event.

"Also enjoyed introducing @Real_Liam_Payne to @JayZ and seeing him fangirl," Scooter posted. "Myself and @niallofficial had a good laugh. He was…. speechless.

"@scooterbraun @Real_Liam_Payne @JayZ yes Payno loved it! he was buzzing! meeting your idols," Niall replied, while Liam posted a picture of himself with Jay-Z along with the comment: "Alssoooo my biggest news today I met one of my idols and couldn't even look him in the eye…"

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars were spotted out enjoying the sights of New York earlier in the weekend, when they got to play around with toy guns at the Toys R Us store in Times Square.
