The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer says he was thrilled to make a return in front of the judges last weekend.

Olly Murs has confessed that it was "brilliant" to be back performing on The X Factor last weekend as it gave him a chance to showcase what he can do to the contestants on the show.

The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer told Capitalfm.com that he gets itchy feet watching everyone performing week after week and can't help but get jealous.

"It was brilliant. It was great to go back and see the judges again and have a laugh," he confessed. "The thing about it is, when you're a presenter and on the show, you're literally on it every week – you do just want to go down and perform."

He continued: "Obviously I'm a singer in my own right and you see all these contestants performing – it's like, I want to showcase what I can do and I think it was a great way for me to do that at the weekend and I was so excited."

The Essex born star was clearly thrilled with his performance on the show and admitted that his reaction at the end of 'Troublemaker' was down to his excitement.

"I think it showed with my enthusiasm – I couldn't even hear the reaction at the end of the song – I couldn't help but punch the air," he explained.

He also revealed how a few of the contestants attempted to put him off before he went on stage joking that he should make sure his microphone is switched on.

The singer is currently celebrating becoming this week's number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with the Flo Rida featuring track and he is preparing to release new album 'Right Place Right Time' next week.
