The 'Heart Skips A Beat' star is excited to start working with the UK's youth as part of his new role.

Olly Murs says he is excited about starting his role as an ambassador for the FA and wants to help "link music and football together".

The 'Troublemaker' singer was announced as the newest addition to the FA roster earlier this year, and will help work with youth communities as part of his new job as an ambassador.

The former X Factor star promises he will be great of the job because of his love for both music and football, and hopes the two can be tied in together.

"I'm working with them to help link music and football together," Olly revealed to the Daily Star this week. "I go to matches and watch football on TV. I know what I'm talking about.

"My job is to make people more aware of the grassroots of English football and where it's going next," the pop star explained. "Being involved in more community work, like say me and Alan Shearer turning up to play football with some lads, then afterwards we do a music lesson.
