Olly Murs: "I Can't Believe I'm Performing At BRITs 2012"

The 'Please Don't Let Me Go' star tells Capital FM that he is "really excited" to be taking to the stage at next month's awards.

Olly Murs has admitted that he is feeling "really excited" to be performing at the BRIT Awards 2012 and believes it will be a "brilliant show".

The 'Dance With Me Tonight' star is also up for an award on the night as his track 'Heart Skips A Beat' has been shortlisted for the Best British Single category.

He spoke to Capital FM after the news broke that he would be performing at the ceremony.

"Even getting a nomination for a BRIT for the second year in a row is a dream come true - I can't believe I'm performing this year too! I'm really excited, it's going to be a brilliant show," he said.

The Essex born singer will join the likes of Adele, Rihanna and Coldplay on stage who have already all been confirmed to perform at the event.

Meanwhile, the singer announced earlier today (25th January) that he would be taking part in a new ITV2 tour documentary which will follow the singer on his upcoming UK arena tour.

Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.

Each listener who casts a vote for British Single will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.
