Nicole Scherzinger claims One Direction success

Pussycat Doll and solo star Nicole Scherzinger has cheekily said she was responsible for X Factor’s One Direction.

Nicole Scherzinger, speaking backstage at Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball, has said she played a big part in One Direction’s sweeping X Factor success. Nicole, who was a guest judge on the reality show, has claimed she played a big part in helping Simon Cowell put the boy band together.

“I’m not going to lie, but I helped Simon out”, she told Capital FM presenters Margherita Taylor and Roberto. “I’m not taking credit for the whole One Direction thing, but hey, you know, hands in the air, right? I was there, I was the voice of guidance!”

Nicole also revealed she’d be playing two songs by the Pussycat Dolls at today’s ball (December 4), before rounding off the appearance with her new solo single, ‘Poison’.
