The judge says she believes the Take That star will warm to the Essex singer, who he described as "embarrassing".

The X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger has said she believes Gary Barlow will end up liking her contestant Rylan Clark.

The Take That star and fellow judge has not shied away from criticising the talent show hopeful, and walked off stage after Rylan was voted to remain in the competition last weekend.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the former Pussycat Dolls star remained optimistic that Gary would grow to love Rylan.

She said: "Rylan represents all that's entertaining, colourful and fun about the UK and we're going to make a believer out of Gary before you know it.

'There's much more entertainment to come so keep watching... there's some great scenes coming up."

On last week's The X Factor admitted he had been left "embarrassed" by the Essex singer's performance on the show.

Meanwhile, Cheryl Cole has revealed that Nicole Scherzinger sang her hit 'Promise This' in full to the Girls Aloud star when they first met.

"I swear to God the woman sang the whole song, to my face," Cheryl reveals in her new autobiography My Story. "It was just so awkward."

The '3 Words' star likened the incident to singing '…Baby One More Time' to Britney Spears.
