The 'Starships' rapper says she loves her first chapter but wants to move on for her next release.

Nicki Minaj says she wants to start a "new era" with her third studio album and may move away from the 'Pink' theme of her past records.

The 'Va Va Voom' rapper has yet to start work on her new album but says she is already keen to try something different on the record than she has on previous releases.

Nicki's previous albums have all carried the 'Pink Friday' title in some way, including last year's extended release 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up'.

"At this point I don't even know if I want to include the word pink!" Nicki revealed to MTV First this week.  "So the Pink Friday, it's like a great chapter and I love it.

"It represents great things, but I really want to start a new era," the 'Pound The Alarm' rapper explained. "I just don't know, I want to see where the music takes me first."
