The 'Roman Reloaded' rapper says she is still just a big "homebody" at heart away from the cameras.

Nicki Minaj says she hasn't changed at all since becoming famous and claims she is still a very shy person inside.

The 'Starships' singer is rarely out of the headlines these days but insists she tries hard to stay away from the showbiz side of fame, like being pictured out partying and clubbing.

"Nothing about me has changed since I got fame," Nicki told Complex magazine this month. "I' never liked to go to clubs. I never liked to go out.

"I don't know where the public craziness came from," the singer mused. "I was always like a comedian to my friends and family, but in a lot of ways I'm shy.

Nicki explained that people often misinterpret her shy demeanour for being mean or aloof, but insists she just the "biggest homebody" at heart.

"I think people read my shyness as being mean. They misinterpret it," the 'Super Bass' rapper added. "The first and only person who ever called me our for being shy was [Lil] Wayne."

Last night Nicki unveiled a special album sampler online, giving her fans the chance to hear a one minute clip of each track from her upcoming second studio album.

Nicki Minaj is set to launch her new record 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' on 3rd April.
