Nicki Minaj has revealed that she wants to give Adele a "hug" and a "kiss" after the singer won Best Original Song at the Oscars 2013 last night (24th February).

The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer picked up the prize for her James Bond theme 'Skyfall' - the first 007 movie to achieve the honour.

"I would just ask her if I could kiss her and hug her and say that she's my favourite girl," the 'Starships' singer declared as she arrived for Sir Elton John's post Oscars party.

The British star has since received a host of congratulatory messages from the world of music following her win.

Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson were among those who took to Twitter to post special messages to the star.

Adele gave an emotional acceptance speech in which she thanked producer Paul Epowrth for "always believing" in her as well as the support of her boyfriend Simon Konecki.

As well as winning Best Original Song at the 85th Academy Awards, the singer also performed the song for the first time during a special James Bond segment of the show.
